COURSE GOAL
The intensive course is designed to prepare you for successful admissions to leading fashion universities and to give you a strong foundation in fashion design and the structure of the fashion industry.

The program focuses on developing your creative potential and analytical thinking, building a unique portfolio, and introducing current trends and movements in fashion.

COURSE INSTRUCTORS
GRIGORY FEDENKO is a fashion designer and graduate of the Fashion Design program at Polimoda (Italy).
Grigory began his creative journey at 16 by crafting sculptural hats by hand.
He later worked as a stylist for two years before committing to professional fashion education.
At Polimoda, he refined his skills as a fashion designer at one of the world’s leading fashion institutions.
Upon graduation, he was selected for the Polimoda final runway show and won the Future of Fashion award.
Today, Grigory consults for brands and startups, specializing in experimental garments requiring custom patterns and unconventional construction techniques.

LENIZA POLYNSKIKH
Founder of Wild About, official partner and alumna of Polimoda.
She is the CEO of Wild About, a career and education platform for emerging creatives, and the founder of Wild About Fashion — a global creative community.
Previously, Leniza held leadership roles at Adidas Group and Podium Market, where she developed expertise in brand management and fashion business operations.

COURSE PROGRAM
LESSON 1: INTRODUCTION TO THE FASHION INDUSTRY
In this first session, you’ll get a clear introduction to how the fashion industry works — including key roles, company structure, and the concept of brand DNA.

We’ll explore the responsibilities of a creative director and their impact on brand aesthetics — including how upcycling is used strategically in contemporary fashion. You’ll look at how repurposed materials and details shape collections, and examine designers working in this space.

LESSON 3: WHO IS A DESIGNER — AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
This session introduces the role of the fashion designer and the core responsibilities that come with it. You’ll explore the creative process through moodboarding, fabric draping, sketching, collaging, and lineup development.

LESSON 4: GARMENT CATEGORIES AND UPCYCLING IN FASHION
In this lesson, we’ll break down seasonal garment categories and explore how draping informs both 3D and 2D design. You’ll also examine classic wardrobe elements — and how upcycling brings fresh perspective to timeless forms.

It’s a critical stage that allows you to refine the concept and structure of your project before the final presentation.

LESSON 10: FINAL PRESENTATION
In the final session, students will present their completed projects — including lineup, sketchbook, collages, illustrations, and a digital moodboard. The session also includes prep for answering Polimoda’s application questions.
